On May 9, Aptera hosted the "Capture the Cloud" event at Parkview Field to introduce kick off Aptera offering Office 365 and to introduce local business leaders to Microsoft’s Cloud Technology. The event was attended by representatives of over 50 local businesses and featured presentations by Eric Rupp, Aptera’s Cloud Services Practice Leader, and Sjonia Harper, from Microsoft Corporation. The presentations included demonstrations of Microsoft Office 365 and discussions of various ways business practices can be integrated with and streamlined by cloud services. Attendees then heard Mike Romary, president and CEO of MagniFI, a local design and architecture firm serving banks, recount how moving into the cloud is saving him money, saving him from endless headaches from dealing with his old on-site servers, and giving him and his regional account directors more comprehensive access to the company’s files and programs no matter where they are in the country. Andrew Allegre from Hupp Aerospace won the Xbox + Kinect door prize. Everyone was treated to breakfast, lunch and an afternoon Tincaps baseball game. The event was as huge success.
